Pe romaneste, cum sa devii trainer.
Conferinta a avut loc in Arges, mai exact in minunatul Satic City, undeva pe langa Rucar in data de 7-10 august 2008. Organizatorii acestei activitati au fost noi bineinteles , AIESEC Pitesti adica, Echipa Nationala de Traineri si minunatii externali pe care o sa ii numesc mai tarziu.
Durata a fost de 4 zile super tari in care am invatat o groaza despre cum sa fi trainer atat in AIESEC, dar cum sa faci cariera in aceasta directie.
Prima zi ne-am suit jumatate intr-o rata din anii 80' probabil si in care praful de pe drumul de tara se depozita foarte usor.Totusi multumim Publitrans pentru ca ne-au oferit transport dus - intors gratuit :D
Ajunsi acolo am inceput agenda cu aplauze ca la orice conferinta, i-am cunoscut pe cei din echipa nationala de traineri si cam ce vor ei sa faca si apoi am trecut la treburi serioase: sesiuni intregi despre cum sa tii un training pe parcursul celor 4 zile.Partea buna a fost ca am cunoscut acolo niste oameni extraordinari, precum Andrei Popescu, Master Trainer la Dale Carnagie, Zeno Popovici Alumnus AIESEC Sibiu, Daniel Patru, Trainer Sales la Ad Pharma si Alumnus AIESEC Cluj, Popic ( coordonator echipa nationala de training), Nico, Alexandra, Cristina (echipa nationala de traineri), dar si membrii din reteaua AIESEC Romania!
Au fost o gramada de sesiuni despre cum e sa fi trainer, cum sa iti intelegi audienta, cum sa ai o prezentare faina, mai exact cum sa fi an excellent trainer!! (prietenii stiu de ce !)
E super tare sa vorbesti cu persoane din alte orase de parca te-ai cunoaste de o viata si sa ti faci prieteni...de ce era asa de usor?Oare faptul ca vrem sa fim traineri? Ca suntem niste persoane sociabile? Sau ne uneste ceva frumos, o experienta unica si plina de oportunitati?Da, exact, AIESEC este de vina pentru usurinta cu care comunicam!
Ce pot spune decat ca a fost o conferinta foarte reusita!!! Informatiile au fost relevante, glumele bune si proaste o gramada, amintiri multe cu siguranta!

Train the Trainers Reloaded - by Zeno Popovici

Last month I was asked by Nico, a good friend of mine to deliver a training at the Train the Trainers conference held in Satic/Brasov. This is kinda’ sorta’ the first time ever since I’m an Alumnus to be an external at a national AIESEC conference, so I was quite surprised … in a good way :D.
I must say they did everything right in the way they handled me … a month in advance notice, numerous reminders and documents explaining the agenda, objectives, transportation, etc. I’m usually very hard to please regarding these things. Well believe me I could not say a bad word, not one, regarding the whole process from start to end. I quite honestly have never been better handled since I’ve became an Alumnus. It reminded me of an older similar experience.

I’ve had two things to prepare, a “Video’s in presentations” learning circle and a “Presentation skills” training. I knew I had to prepare these trainings as people from Dale Carnegie, real good trainers would be delivering there and I felt I had to live up to the expectations. It felt really good doing research and preparing my trainings, the Power Point actually Keynote[1] presentation. It was reminding me of the old times :), nights spent preparing, the joy of delivering, the satisfaction of doing a good job.
Once arrived in Satic, after a bumpy road via Pitesti, I was put aback of the huge expectations build by Nico and the other NTT members regarding the external trainers. It was a bit like: “Say hello to the training gurus … the externals!”. Trust me it takes a lot to shake my self confidence, and this almost made it. Fortunately I had the evening learning circle prepared and my training was scheduled for the next day. I’ve made a point of getting to know these guys (in my own special way of course). I’ve managed to get the idea of what my target audience was by observing them at the sessions and evening plenary. I say it again but it is AMAZING how AIESEC manages to bring so many good, young people in one place.

Meeting Andrei from Dale Carnegie was like going back in time. I’ve last seen him when he left AIESEC 2 years ago and he was unchanged. He’s been a great guy back then, helping me out a lot when I most needed it.
The evening learning circle was a blast … didn’t knew that people were not so into integrating videos in their presentations. Videos can be a very powerful way to get your own message trough. I’ve been doing this for 3-4 years an have a somewhat big collection that helped me a lot that evening.
The morning training went out great with a minor glitch at the end. Foreseeable tough. I will listen to my inner voice … you should do that too. Whenever you feel something is not right … well then act up on it! Don’t expect it to work out fine. I won’t :). I’ve managed to perform up to standards (mine at least), by being really passionate and getting into the right mood. I felt really good (sorry for repeating myself), to be a trainer again, to be in the middle of all those bright people. It is one the things I loved most in AIESEC.
Getting to meet Dani again was another good reason for me being there. We did some catching up and he also came up with an original roll call we performed which helped a bit to lower our semi-gods statute there.
Overall it was an incredible experience just as in old times. I enjoyed it a lot. I love teaching young people, I like watching them grow, it is in my blood. This will most probably make me do a 180 degrees turn somewhere in the future.

LC Visits are really cool

As an NTT member, one has the responsibility to coach 3-4 LCs on matters related to Training. Mine are LC Cluj-Napoca, LC Oradea and LC Pitesti.
2 weeks ago I received an invitation from Alina, LCVP TM in AIESEC Oradea to help with the TTI preparation. Of course, I said yes and we worked together to make this an awesome day for the participants, never fogetting the end goal:

PUT ORADEA BACK ON THE MAP!!!

And I honestly hope we will, as yesterday the TTI went great.

Alina introduced us into the Competency Model, the Selection Process and the New Members' Profile, while I was responsible of the Group and Individual Interview and the Simulation part.
We had Alina, Cata, Alex, Cosmin, Cipri, Mari, Crina, Adi and Radu as participants and we spent a lovely Saturday together.
Not only I met 9 great people, but I rediscovered passion for AIESEC in all their eyes, in the way they talked and in the way they acted.

Remembering ITTT...

The last conference that we organized was International Train the Trainers.

Where was it ?

Brasov , Romania

When was it ?

10-14 September 2008

Who was there ?

over 50 participants from all over Romania
10 internationals (from : Macedonia, Turkey, Norway, Czech Republic, Austria, Poland)
5 trainers from different companies(Boom Tv, Dale Carnegie, DeKlausen, Foreground,I-interact

What happened ?

there were persons that wanted to learn, some that were just curious and some that what to become trainers
after the 5 days of treasure hunt, trainings, sessions, activities, simulations and feed-back we all understood what training really is and what it's not.
we figure out if we want to do training or not
...and then...we entered the most difficult part : practice in real situations. And now we are facing this each day . It's like driving , once you face a driving license it doesn't mean that we now how to drive or even that we know the feeling of driving alone. The true exam and learning process is out there , on the streets , alone.
